The vineyard:

• Area under vine: 22 hectares
• Age of the vines: 20 years on average.The oldest go back to 1957.
• Location: 25 plots in the communes of Saint Germain d’Esteuil, Ordonnac, and Gaillan
• Terroir: fairly homogeneous, with a fine gravel topsoil and a subsoil consisting of sand and blocks of limestone.
• Grape varieties: 70 Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
• Yield: 47 hectolitres/hectare
• Average annual production

Winemaking:

• Wine from each individual plot is separately fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
• Maceration: slow and long (30 days)
• Ageing: with oak staves for 4- 6 months

Ethique et Nature:

• Viticulture: biodynamic with sustainable agriculture methods
• Grassing between vine rows and green harvesting
• Estates certified ISO 14 001 (an environmental standard)
